Comparing my hometown and Tokyo

am going to write my first essay, comparing my hometown, Aichi and Tokyo, where I am living in now. Aichi prefecture is located on the middle of Japan, and facing the Pacific Ocean. I was brought up in Okazaki City, Aichi. Okazaki is a birth place of Tokugawa Ieyashu, a famous feudal lord in Edo era, and a very old town with atmosphere of a castle town.
Now I am comparing Aichi and Tokyo by the side of numerical data. Tokyo is 2186.84k㎡ and has 12,059,237 people (The population is a top class of the world). On the other hand Aichi is 5154.51k㎡ and has 7,043,235 people. Tokyo is, as you know, the Japanese capital, so it is developed administration, economy and culture, while Aichi is industrialized as a great industrial area. Maybe you know Aichi comprises Toyota City which is world famous car industry. When I was junior high, the 80% of my classmates' father was working at a Toyota company. Every adult made cars in my town!
Aichi is sometimes referred to that little difference from Tokyo for Aichi has a big city, Nagoya from the point of quality level of life. But Aichi remains very unique culture; art, fashion, food, history, etc. We can watch a unique style of KABUKI (Japanese classical play) mixed up Tokyo style and Osaka style, see delicious dish used soybean paste everywhere, visit to many historical sights and so on.

Oh I just remember that Aichi took place an expo lately, so you might have been to Aichi before.
By the way, if you are interested in Japanese industrial technology or Japanese history, Aichi is very good to you.

早稲田大学文学部の林　知輝（ともき）です。
現在２０才で、演劇、映像コースに在籍しています。
イチロー選手の出身地、愛知県からやってきました。
僕は今、子供たちに対して教育活動を行うNPOに所属して活動しています。
ヤング・アメリカンズというアメリカの若者による劇団を呼んで、子供たちと一緒に
英語でミュージカルを作ったりするんですよ！
僕はその活動を通して、いろんな人とコミュニケーションすることの楽しさを知りました。
だから、僕はこの授業を通じて、いろいろな人と友達になって、みんなの話が聞きたい。

あ、僕の趣味は、もちろん映画を見ること、映像を編集すること。
音楽もなんでも聞くけど、特にロックが大好きです。
あとは…どこか知らない場所に行くこと！

Hello, everyone!

My name is Tomoki Hayashi and I belong to the literature fac.
I am 20 now and I am studying drama and the films.
I came from Aichi prefecture, which is famous as Ichiro's hometown.
Now, I am doing educational activity for children as a member of NPO.
We make musicals through the using only English completely with the children and a young american musical company, called the Young Americans and come from California!
And I saw that how wonderful communicating with various people is through this experiments.
So I want to make many friends and know your thought in this class.


By the way, my hobbies are, of course, watching movies, making movies,
and listening to music. (Especially I am crazy about rock music!)
And then... exploring somewhere I have not been to!
